The Turk Empire

The Turks were a nomadic people from Mongolia, who established an empire on the borders of three of the great settled civilizations of the medieval world, namely, the Chinese Empire, the Sasanians, and the Byzantines. They attained political supremacy in northern Central Asia between 553 and 745, and were the first of the Altaic peoples to leave a documentary record, which has allowed us to have a far greater insight into their history than possible with previous nomadic powers
