Roundtable on “The Maritime Silk Roads: Connection between China and the Middle East”

On the occasion of 30th anniversary of the launch UNESCO Silk Roads initiative, the Permanent Delegation of the People’s Republic of China to UNESCO and the UNESCO’s Arab Group and  UNESCO, will organize jointly on 7 February a Roundtable on “Maritime Silk Roads: Connecting China and Middle-East” at UNESCO’s Headquarters, Paris. This Roundtable will discuss the historical interactions between China and the countries along the Maritime Silk Roads and the contribution of their common heritage to intercultural dialogue in the new international context.

The Roundtable will be followed by the opening of an exhibition "China and the Arab World along the Maritime Silk Roads 10th-14th centuries" organized by Permanent Delegation of China to UNESCO in cooperation with UNESCO‘s Arab Group and Social and Human Sciences Sector.
