“Teatercentrum” – Theatre Centre

Theatre Centre is a national competence centre for distribution and dissemination of theatre for young audiences in all genres, forms and expressions of performing arts. One of the main activities of the centre is the ‘April Festival – Theatre for Young Audiences’ in a new city in Denmark every year. During the festival week all the children and young people of the hosting municipality are given the opportunity to experience theatre free of charge. Other activities of Teatercentrum are catalogues and web-portals dedicated to theatre for young audiences in Denmark. The centre is a self-governing institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture.
