IBER-RUTAS
The main goal of this program is contributing to the promotion of cultural diversity in lber o-America by creating a common space for the protection of immigrants' rights from an intercultural stand point.
The IBER-RUTAS Programme, proposed by Argentina,was approved within the framework of the 20th lber o-American Summit of Heads of
States and Governments in December 2010, in the City of Mar del Plata,Argentina. The Programme was first implemented in mid-2011 with the creation of the Intergovernmenta l Committee and the creation of the Executive Committee (EC).
The Directorate of Cultural Policy and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture of Argentina was designated as Technical Unit (UT). This unit executes the activities established and approved by the Intergovernmental Committee (CI) in the Annual Action Plan (POA) The 10 countries participating in this programme are: Argentina,Bolivia, Brazil,Chile, Costa Rica,Ecuador,Spain, Paraguay,Peru and
Uruguay.

The Programme has become popular throughout the region as a reference for issues such as migration and Culture.These are some of the main results:
Three investigations,carried out by international study centers that look into this issue.
Three calls to international photo contests. We received a total of 2611 images,the award winning projects were presented in three countries at events attended by 1800 people.
Two calls to participate in literature essays and two publications with winning essays translated into Spanish and Portuguese. Two IBER-RUTAS awards for best lbero-American Movie.
