-To make visible and accessible to the public the collections of museums in Spain. -To make CER.ES the main repository of museum collections in Spain and the main repository of museum collections in Hispana and Europeana. -To place museum collections as primary information resources for the generation of new knowledge, services and actions.
What are the results achieved so far through the implementation of the policy/measure?:
-CER.ES is the main repository of museum collections in Spain and the most important national repository of museum collections in HISPANA and EUROPEANA. -113 museum institutions of different ownership, typology and management model use the same scheme of dissemination and on-line interoperability of their collections.

Quantitatively, the platform is visited each year by more than 250,000 users who can benefit from the information of more than 316,000 cultural goods through more than 557,000 images. The main conclusions and recommendations are as follows: -The sharing of the same information model for the dissemination of cultural goods facilitates the promotion of cultural strategies based on cultural contents: projects Patrimonio en Femenino, Año Cultural Europeo, Catálogo de Colecciones Cervantinas, etc.). -The visibility of local museum collections in the Network enhances the internationalization of our Cultural Heritage. -The dissemination of collections has helped institutions to renovate very diverse aspects of their management, such as the updating of the loan policy for temporary exhibitions or the promotion of citizen collaboration in the revision of contents.
