5 Saxony: According to an evaluation, the cultural area law has successfully contributed to extensive preservation of regional cultural structures. In 2016, the Landtag is holding final consultations about the experts’ recommendations. From 2016 onward, the law will be cautiously updated and further developed (including inter alia cultural education, integration of migrants, digitalisation issues). Administrative management is being simplified.
