Describe the main features of the policy/measure: 

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) entered into force for Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore on 30 December 2018, and for Vietnam on 14 January 2019.
The agreement establishes the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights should contribute to the promotion of technological innovation and to the transfer and dissemination of technology, to the mutual advantage of producers and users of technological knowledge and in a manner conducive to social and economic welfare, and to a balance of rights and obligations, but also recognizes the need to promote innovation and creativity and facilitate the diffusion of information, knowledge, technology, culture and the arts.
