Describe the main features of the policy/measure: 

The workshop was organized by the Department of Culture in partnership with the Creative Economy Working Group (an organization bringing together various players in different domains of the cultural and creative industries in Kenya).

It brought together Policy makers, administrators, the academia and the industry players. A total of 120 participants attended the workshop. They evaluated the Legislation and regulatory framework governing the sector.

What are the results achieved so far through the implementation of the policy/measure?: 

The workshop proposed amendments to the Culture bill. The final recommendations have since been included in the draft bill to be presented to Parliament for enactment into law.
National structures to manage the cultural and creative industries were proposed.
