Ms Samantha Biffot is a Franco-Gabonese director and producer who grew up between Asia and Africa, where she very soon experienced culture mixing, a theme that is explored in her first documentary feature film L'Africain qui voulait voler (2016), selected in many festivals and nominated for the 2016 Trophées Francophones. After studying cinema in Paris, she returned to settle in Gabon in 2010 where she set up her audiovisual production company Princesse M Productions with Pierre Ceccaldi. In 2013, she won the Best Series prize at FESPACO for L'Oeil de la Cité, co-produced with IGIS. Since 2016, she has been co-writing and directing the African adaptation of the successful series Parents Mode d'Emploi broadcasted on TV5 (6th season) and directed Kongossa Télécom for Canal+ Afrique. Since 2016, she has also been producing TV programmes in Côte d'Ivoire for TV5 and Canal+. Her latest production, Boxing Libreville, by Amédée Pacôme Nkoulou, made its world premiere at the Festival Visions du Réel.
