Mr. John Franck Ondo is a Gabonese screenwriter of short and feature films who has participated in numerous festivals around the world (Canada, Cameroon, Burundi, Senegal, Togo, Ivory Coast, Niger, Morocco). He is the screenwriter and producer of the feature film Le Plan, which was selected at Ecrans noirs in 2012 and broadcasted on CFI in 2015. He is also the producer of the short film Le Rendez-vous, which was selected at Vues d'Afrique in 2014 and broadcasted on TV5 Monde in 2016. He is the screenwriter and director of the film Boomerang Effect, twice awarded in Abidjan in 2014. He is also the screenwriter of the feature film Si loin… Si près, twice awarded in Niger. He starred in the short film Afity by Wilfried Lengoye, selected at FESPACO in 2019 and which received an award in Niger, and was featured in the film Les Couilles de l’éléphant by Henri Joseph Koumba in 2001. He graduated in scriptwriting from Cinécours Canada.
