Creative Europe Programme
Support to European cultural and creative sectors to operate transnationally and to strengthen their competiveness; promotion of intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity; promotion of innovations and digitalization of culture; preservation and actualization of cultural heritage
Creative Europe is the European Union's programme to support the cultural, creative and audiovisual sectors. From 2014-2020, €1.46 billion is available to support European projects with the potential to travel, reach new audiences and encourage skill sharing and development. Creative Europe consists of two sub-programmes: a Culture sub-programme promoting the creative and cultural sectors, and a MEDIA sub-programme supporting the development and distribution of audiovisual works.
Ukraine takes part in the programme since 2016 according to the agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on the participation of Ukraine in "Creative Europe": the Union programme for the cultural and creative sectors, and on cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine in the MEDIA Sub-programme of "Creative Europe".
The Creative Europe desk Ukraine established and co funded by the Government operates as an information contact point to raise awareness about the Creative Europe and to facilitate participation in the programme.
